For two years, 10-year-old Christian faced teasing

 .

“You look like a girl!” bullies shouted in the school hallways. Adults told him to cut his hair.

Christian never argued. He simply tucked his long hair behind his ears and kept walking.

He had a secret plan.

Yesterday, he went to the barbershop.

“Take it all off,” Christian said proudly.

The barber tied his hair into four large ponytails and cut them off.

Christian was donating 12 inches of hair to Wigs for Kids, a group that makes wigs for children who lost their hair due to cancer.

He held the bags of hair in his hands, smiling with a new short haircut.

“I can handle some teasing,” Christian said. “But sick kids shouldn’t have to feel ugly.”

He didn’t look like a girl. He looked like a hero.
